They’re pretty crunchy. In fact, they aren’t fun to eat at all. I wonder why they are so popular?

I just can’t imagine, but here we all are, eating button tacos, little plastic discs spilling out the sides of our concentrating mouths and tinkling down in a bright multi colored flood to splash spinning on the floor.

Oh, well, at least they’re cheap.

THE END

This is an accordion book I made from saved and recycled materials—scrap mattboard, magazines, acrylic paint and saved buttons. I thought of the story in Mexico, on the beach, after I had eaten a simply astonishing number of tacos, and consumed an equally astonishing amount of tequila. The paper taco flaps open so that you may admire the appetizing buttons within.
