This one-woman show in September 2003 is my homage to Libraries and letters. Oh, how I love libraries, and I can clearly see a need for specific utensils and accessories dedicated to the use of books, paper, libraries. It’s fibers and wires and things.
The reception is September 3rd, 2003 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. I made a bunch of copper and pearl hairpins to distribute, so we can all march around with glittering ornaments in our hair.

Artists Statement:
I firmly reject ‘boughten’ fabric for my work. I prefer recycled, rescued, and remnant textiles and fibers because these things are full of stories and excitements. Besides the stories, there is my concern for the environment. I abhor waste. Why would you put good fabric bits into the wet dark ground? Unless you’re personally wrapped up in it, like a candy, going to heaven. And you’re not going to look that good when you get there, anyway. Last, and not least, I won’t go buying costly fabric pieces because I need all my money for pearls and candy.
