Mr. Lemon Head was in good spirits. He was not the puckery, sour person you’d expect of a lemon headed being—no, he was a sweetie, really, and greeted the world with enthusiasm and a wide smile. Just now he was putting the finishing touches to his outfit. He flicked an imaginary speck from his stylish suit sleeve and made a minute adjustment to his natty bowtie. He was meeting his friends Mr. Orange Head, Mr. Cherry Head, and Mr. Grape Head over in Fruity Town at the ice cream parlor, and he wanted to look his very finest. He finished fiddling with the bowtie and peered into the mirror. ‘Handsomest Lemon Head in the town!’ he said with satisfaction, and he really was.
