This document explains the information Skyglass collects and why.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create your account, we save your email. This makes it possible for you to log in to your account and for us to communicate with you about your account. Your account information, including your email, is stored with our database service provider, Supabase.
Environment Generation and Streaming
In your account, we keep track of how many AI environments you generate and how many minutes you stream our realistic 3D environments, so we can let you know when you’ve reached your plan’s limits.
When you create an AI environment, your prompt is sent to our AI generation partner, Blockade Labs, to generate the environment. The prompt you use is not linked with your account.
Face Tracking
Skyglass uses the sensors on your phone to track the position of your face while using a 3D environment with the user-facing camera. This, together with an estimate of your sitting or standing height, helps us align the virtual environment with the floor in your real environment. This face-tracking information is kept private on your device. It is never transmitted, shared, or stored.
Analytics
In the account settings page of the Skyglass app, there is an option for you to share usage data. If you turn on this option, we will send messages to our analytics partner, Mixpanel, whenever you take certain actions in the app. For example, when you open a virtual environment or record a video, we may save the name of the virtual environment or the settings used to record the video, along with its duration. This information helps us understand how well Skyglass is working for our users and which features are useful to them. You can stop sharing usage data at any time by turning off this option in the account settings page.
When we send usage messages, they include a unique identifier. This makes it possible for us to identify which messages came from a single user, but we don’t link this data to your account, so we can’t tell which messages came from you.
Mailing List
When you sign up for the Skyglass mailing list, we ask for your email so we can send you updates. Your email will be stored with our email marketing partner, EmailOctopus. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email we send.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page in the Skyglass app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally as we add features or as regulations change. Please review it regularly for any changes.
